HeartSine samaritan PAD 500P with CPR Advisor
Overview
Regardless of whether it is a layperson or a professional rescuer, AHA/ERC Guidelines place a greater emphasis on the importance of effective CPR in increasing survival rates after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
HeartSine® samaritan® PAD 500P defibrillator with CPR Advisor is the most innovative device available to support these guidelines, giving rescuers feedback on the effectiveness of their CPR efforts - in real time.
How It Works
CPR, Cardio (heart) Pulmonary (lung) Resuscitation, combines compressing the heart to circulate blood to all the vital organs and, at the same time, breathing into the victim to supply oxygen.
The 500P defibrillator provides the rescuer with real-time instructions regarding compressions with audible "Good Compressions" or "Push Harder," "Push Faster" and "Push Slower." These instructions also are displayed on the face of the device in order to ensure the rescuer performs the most effective CPR.
Impedance Cardiogram (ICG) analysis is embedded in the software, which guides the user in the required force and speed of compressions for the victim. The ICG measures impedance changes in the chest cavity, which helps determine effective CPR. Because the ICG is related to how fast the compressions are applied, as well as how hard, the 500P can guide the user on both rate and depth.
After being instructed to "Begin CPR," an audible beep for the appropriate cadence will help the rescuer keep time when performing compressions. The objective during CPR using the 500P is to hear "Good Compressions" and to see green on the CPR indicator.
Defibrillation is easy, CPR is the hard part. The HeartSine samaritan PAD 500P provides all the advantages of the 300P/350P with the addition of an innovative CPR Advisor. Regardless of whether it is a lay person or a professional rescuer, the AHA/ERC guidelines place a greater emphasis on the importance of CPR and advocate the prompt initiation of effective bystander CPR to significantly reduce mortality due to out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest.
The PAD 350P Defibrillator is maintenance free as are all HST devices. The device is fully CE Marked and FDA approved for use around the world. Software updates are free of charge.
The hardware is guaranteed for 10 years and the unit is maintenance free with only one replaceable part after use. The HST samaritan PAD model 350P: suitable for use by trained lay users, semi professionals and professional users alike. The device is a life saver for private, business, commercial and professional use.
Key Differentiators
HeartSine's samaritan 500P PAD offers unique features:
Compact in Size. Big on Ability
Built-in confidence. The samaritan PAD 500P integrated CPR Advisor uses an Impedance Cardiogram (ICG) to assess the effectiveness of the CPR and give the rescuer feedback on compressions: "Push Harder," "Push Faster," "Push Slower" or reassurance that they are performing "Good Compressions."
User-friendly. Easy-to-understand visual and voice prompts guide a user through the entire process.
Compact and lightweight. Up to 56% smaller than other AEDs on the market and weighs only 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg).
Highest level of dust/moisture protection. The samaritan PAD has a rating of IP56, providing the SAM 500P defibrillator with the highest level of protection from dust or moisture ingress in the industry.
Durable. The samaritan PAD 500P resists shock and vibration and carries a ten-year unit warranty that demonstrates the reliability of this quality unit.
Advanced technology. The samaritan PAD 500P utilizes proprietary electrode technology, advanced and stable firmware, and proprietary SCOPETM* Biphasic Technology (an escalating and low-energy waveform that automatically adjusts for patient impedance differences) to assess rhythm and maximize effective shock delivery if necessary.
*Self-Compensating Output Pulse Envelope technology automatically compensates energy, slope and pulse envelope for the patient.
Easy-to-Follow Visual and Voice Prompts
User-friendly. The samaritan PAD 500P features easy-to understand visual and voice prompts that guide a user through the process. Three large, easy-to-see icons facilitate the rescue process: "Attach pads," "Do not touch the patient," and "It is safe to touch the patient".
Two-button operation. Only two buttons, ON/OFF and SHOCK, are required, providing straightforward operation.
Always ready. A System Status Ready Indicator flashes to show that the complete system is operational and ready for use. Device automatically runs self check each week.
Real Economy for the Real World
Two parts, one expiration date. Pad-PakTM cartridge combines battery and electrode pads, with one expiration date to monitor.
Low cost of ownership. Cartridge has a shelf life of 4 years from date of manufacture, offering significant savings over other defibrillators that require separate battery and pad units.
Protects both adults and children. The HeartSine PAD's built-in intelligence and unique Pediatric Pad-Pak, which is available for 1-8 years of age (<25 kg or 55 lbs), ensure the appropriate energy level is delivered for children. CPR Advisor is automatically turned off when a Pediatric Pad-Pak is used.
Field upgradeable. Easily upgraded in the field to the latest AHA/ERC guidelines.
